Skydrive (Mojo)
The Trotsky Drive delivers a rich, amp-like overdrive with exceptional touch sensitivity and harmonic depth. Light picking produces warm, articulate grit, while digging in unleashes thick, singing sustain and a muscular midrange crunch. Tight lows, clear note definition, and a smooth, refined top end create an organic, dynamic response that captures the feel of a vintage tube amp pushed into its sweet spot. A bright switch adds extra sparkle and presence when needed, helping darker guitars and amps cut through the mix with ease.
Its roots are in the Electra Distortion family with some modifications, this iteration having standard volume and bias controls in addition to a bright switch. I expanded upon the design and added a switchable clipping allowing for germanium diodes, LEDs, or a lift option offering raw tone.
